Sales Representative

Job Description: Weigh Point Inc., a leading mobile scale manufacturer located in Cambridge, ON is currently looking to add a Sales Representative to the team. The ideal candidate is a driven sales leader with a successfully track record of qualifying leads, positioning value-added products/services and closing business. We are in search of an energetic individual who is motivated to learn, grow, and succeed in our organization.

Salary: Compensation will be negotiated based on experience and will consist of a base salary and commissions

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Build and promote strong relationships with customers by understanding their needs
  • Develop detailed growth strategies by industry/channel of distribution
  • Connect with potential customers/leads – pitch product offering, qualify opportunity and schedule in-person meetings/presentations
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to fine-tune marketing strategy and develop new sales tools
  • Stay current on market trends and business opportunities
  • Utilize multiple communication methods (phone calls, email, in-person meetings) to engage with leads and customers
  • Meet or exceed sales targets as determined by the sales plan
  • Work in collaboration with internal team to ensure complete customer satisfaction
  • Answer inquiries by phone and email
  • Prepare quotations
  • Provide technical support to customers – product calibration and troubleshooting/diagnostics, as needed
  • Maintain customer database
  • Attend tradeshows and events to network and generate sales

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 5+ years of sales experience, preferably in the material handling industry
  • Ability to develop strong relationships at various levels
  • Solid presentation and business communication skills
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and self-motivation
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Maintain a strong line of communication with colleagues internally
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license and passport – must be able to travel within Canada and US as required

Work Locations: Hybrid remote in Cambridge, ON
